Panama is a small country located between Costa Rica and Colombia. Its beaches are bathed both by the Pacific Ocean (to the west) and the Caribbean Sea (to the east). It is, therefore, an important tourist destination. Although the development of its tourism is outstanding, Panama is mainly and internationally known for having the pathway that cuts across the American Continent from east to west: the Panama Canal.
